For professing Christians, the goal in spiritual growth is for a superior belief system toinspire believers to aspire to renew their minds from unhealthy core beliefs, thusstrengthening their souls by God’s grace.
Dallas Willard, in his bold clarification on the Great Commission mandate, notes thatdespite a clear instruction to make disciples, the most important part of making discipleshas been omitted. He claims, “Churches are filled with undiscipled disciples,” becausemere converts are baptized and not trained as commanded, resulting in “EasyChristianity” or “Cheap Grace.” This lack of discipleship and mentorship training hasincreased disappointment among Christians with costly consequences, and unfortunately, the majority, if not all, of the women in this study experienced this.
LR uniquely shares unlocking keys to liberty, with a holistic restoration-focusedCounseling, discipleship-Counseling, Mentoring and Coaching approach - (spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally). Our counseling operates in a two-dimensional integrativeway; theologically and theoretically. Ultimately, the goal of integrating theological (fundamentalChristianity worldview) and well-established theoretical approaches, is to intensify effectivenessand applicability of counseling. We recognize the close connection between human emotional orpsychological well-being, level of faith, and scriptural knowledge and all other approaches thatsomehow support aspects of Christian truth. Effective comprehensive solutions to humanbehavioral complexities start with the authority & sufficiency of the Bible, and a “…WonderfulCounselor, Mighty God, …” (Isaiah 9:6), that offers “… freedom…” (Gal 5:1). For effectiveresults, God the Creator of all things cannot be “sidelined.”
LR’s pursuit for Mind transformation, Empowerment & Restoration Center is fueled byeffective discoveries from my doctoral dissertation research project in requirement for the degreeDoctor of Education in Ministry (DEdMin), and through my many working years ofconceptualizing and developing treatment plans in the hospitals, as an Intensive care unit RN(ICU-RN), as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the psychological intensive care unit(PICU), and as a Critical-Need Pediatric RN in a hospital-based pluralistic environment.Thoughts to consider:
